Also when you delete (or rename) the DAOSCAT.NSF you have to delete the files in the transaction logging directory so the Domino server will re-create the DAOSCAT.NSF file on startup. If you don't do that the Domino server will complain that the DAOSCAT.NSF database does not exist and does not try to re-create the database.
I've also tried to create a simple agent that runs in the background and creates new text files on the same hard disk. That happens without any problems.
But I tried your suggestions and the result is still the same. The server is unable to write the .nlo files.
I have this also running on a VirtualPC (WinXP) machine without any problems. But I'm having problems running this on Windows2003 server - but the B2 version of the ran on the same server without any problems of this kind.
Please post more suggestions/ideas I can try out :- )
